Coeliac UK is the oldest and biggest coeliac society in the world. International coeliac societies often approach us for advice and help and we have contact with over 50 coeliac societies, worldwide.

 

Advice for following a gluten-free diet abroad

Coeliac UK provides Members with translations of gluten-free phrases relating to most countries, advice on where to find shops stocking gluten-free food abroad, gluten-free brands specific to each country, taking gluten-free provisions on board a plane and much more.

We also recommend that you contact the coeliac society located in the country you are travelling to, to find out more information whilst travelling. Full details of international coeliac societies can be obtained from Coeliac UK.

The Association of European Coeliac Societies (AOECSThe Association of European Coeliac Societies is the umbrella organisation of European Coeliac Societies and is an independent non-profit association. Coeliac UK is a member of AOECS.) is the umbrella organisation of European Coeliac Societies. It is an independent non-profit making association. The AOECS reviews problems of international importance, co-ordinates international activities and addresses matters of common interest to its members. It encourages the exchange of information among its members for the benefit of Europeans affected by the coeliac condition or dermatitis herpetiformisUsually shortened to DH, this is a form of coeliac disease where the skin is affected with small blisters..
