Campaigning
-
We talk to key opinion formers in the food manufacturing and food service sector to raise awareness of coeliac disease and influence food labelling and availability of gluten-free food.
-
We work with the media to get coverage of coeliac disease both nationally and regionally and in doing so, raise awareness amongst the general public - particularly during our annual Awareness Week.
-
With the help of our All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) in Westminister and the Cross Party Group in the Scottish Parliament, we campaign to get coeliac disease and DH on the political agenda and to influence attitudes within government.
-
We network with key opinion formers within primary and secondary healthcare such as GPs, dietitians and gastroenterologists, to improve the rate of diagnosis and management of coeliac disease.
Research
-
We fund
medical research into all aspects of coeliac disease. In 2005 we financed one of the biggest research programmes into coeliac disease and DH ever commissioned in the world - research that is now bearing fruit.
We are not Government-funded. Our Members pay a small fee to contribute to the costs of the services they receive but we still depend on donations and other fundraising activities to be able to undertake our work. We hope that you will want to support our work by providing regular donations, no matter how small. If you would like to support us please make a donation today.
