As you all know, May is a very important month for Coeliac UK, as we have our national Awareness WeekOur main annual campaign with focuses around a theme to raise awareness about coeliac disease. , The Gluten-freeWhen a food has less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten so it is safe for people with coeliac disease to eat. Challenge, running from 14 - 20 May.  To tie in with this we’d love to hear all about your stories of how you have helped raise awareness of coeliac diseaseA condition where a person is unable to eat gluten as it makes their body attack itself. and the glutenA protein that is found in the cereals wheat, barley and rye. -free diet. 

Have you championed the Gluten-free Challenge by getting friends or colleagues involved or got your local restaurant to understand the importance of catering gluten-free? Perhaps you are holding your own event for Awareness Week, giving a presentation at school to educate your classmates or taking part in one of our sponsored walks? Whatever you have planned to support Coeliac UK or to help raise the profile of coeliac disease and all it entails, we’d love to hear all about it and share your story.

If you’d like to submit a story, please complete the online entry form at before 25 May. We’ll then publish our favourite entries on our website and the best one will win a gluten-free hamper courtesy of Glutafin.

The winning story will be published on the website, and may be published in Crossed Grain and other channels.  If your story is chosen for publication we will contact you within 5 days of the closing date, and will request a photo if you haven’t already submitted one.  If you don’t hear from us, unfortunately your story has not been chosen for this particular feature.
