Coeliac UK is often contacted by students and research bodies looking for volunteers to share information on their experiences of coeliac diseaseA condition where a person is unable to eat gluten as it makes their body attack itself. and / or dermatitis herpetiformisUsually shortened to DH, this is a form of coeliac disease where the skin is affected with small blisters. (DH). Help them by volunteering today.
Research volunteers can get involved in a huge range of projects looking at diet, diagnosis, general lifestyle – the list is endless. We are also contacted by manufacturers looking for feedback on new products.
Usually volunteers receive a questionnaire or a sample of the product and are able to participate in their own time at home. Sometimes however volunteers are required to go to a central location.
There is no specific training programme for this role. However, full details on how to do the role will be given and more information will be made available on request.
The Coeliac UK Volunteer Manager is available throughout the week to provide support to all volunteers.
To register or for further information please email volunteering@coeliac.org.uk or call Miranda Brooks on 01494 796 118
