Choosing safe foods

Read our top tips on what you should look for to help you feel more confident about managing your gluten-free diet.

There are a number of ways to choose safe foods including:

  • Coeliac UK films: we have developed two video guides to walk you through reading food labels and common myths so you can shop with confidence
  • Food and Drink Directory: When you join as a Member you receive our Food and Drink Directory, which lists thousands of products you can eat. You can also buy the Directory separately from our shop.
  • Reading labels: You can tell if a food is suitable for you by reading the label.  In our Reading labels section we explain what you need to look out for.
  • Crossed Grain symbol: Our Crossed Grain symbol is used by some manufacturers to highlight that a product is suitable.
  • Diet and Health Helpline: If you are unsure about a particular food you can call our Helpline on 0845 305 2060 to speak to our team of dietitians and diet and health advisers.
