Support for parents

Looking after a child with coeliac disease can seem daunting at first. Coeliac UK can guide you through first challenges and give you ongoing support.

Parents or carers of children (under 16) with coeliac disease are welcome to join Coeliac UK on the child's behalf. If there is more than one person with coeliac diseaseA condition where a person is unable to eat gluten as it makes their body attack itself. living at the same address, you may wish to sign up for Household MembershipIf you have been diagnosed with coeliac disease then you can become a Member of Coeliac UK. . On joining Coeliac UK you will receive a parents and carers pack, the Food and Drink DirectoryOur annual Directory of gluten-free food and drink which manufacturers voluntarily submit to. and our Crossed GrainOur magazine which is published three times a year. magazine:

School Template Letter

Starting school or nursery can be an anxious time for any parent and to help you in this transition, we have produced a template letter which will help the school/nursery to understand your child's needs.

As a member of Coeliac UK you will be allocated a local group. They provide local support and put you in touch with other parents.
