Bone Health: Opportunities and Challenges for the food industry, 21 September

Leatherhead Food Research is holding a one day conference on Bone Health, in conjunction with the National Osteoporosis Society.

This conference gives an update on the latest research on bone health and the importance of nutrition in maintaining healthy bones. The day also covers current legislation on health claims on food labels, the latest bone health ingredient innovations and food products being launched from round the world.

Nutricia 11th Annual Paediatric Nutrition and Allergy Study Day, 15 September

The study day will be held at the Royal College of Physicians in London.

This event includes sessions on ketogenic diets in epilepsy, development of tastes and textures in the early years, practical aspects of weaning the allergenic child and faltering growth in the food allergic child to name a few.

UEGW Barcelona 2010, 23-27 October

The 18th United European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW) is being held at the Centre Convencions International Barcelona (CCBI), Barcelona, Spain.

After a successful Gastro 2009 event in London last year UEGW are moving to Barcelona.

This event is for researchers, academics and physicians and provides information on the newest research advances as well as clinical and technical innovations in all areas of gastroenterology, hepatology and related fields.

Professor David Sanders, at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and a member of Coeliac UK Health Advisory Council will be speaking on coeliac disease at this event.
