Dietititans - we need you!

Recent changes in the law surrounding the labelling of gluten-free food means that now, more than ever, education on shopping for a gluten-free diet is needed for people with coeliac disease.

We need your help! Sign up NOW!

Over the next six months, Coeliac UK is launching a  store tour programme. These tours are aimed at people who are diagnosed with coeliac disease, or family members, who would like to find out more about shopping for a gluten-free diet.

The aim is for a Registered Dietitian to run store tours as part of their usual role, and also to have a valuable learning experience.

We are looking for Registered Dietitians, with an interest in coeliac disease, keen to run a store tour.

Things you need to know:

  • We would like to have eight to ten people per tour.
  • The time commitment will be around two hours per store tour – one hour for the tour, with 30 minutes at the beginning and end to meet and greet, and answer any questions.
  • The tour may need to be held at a time that is suitable for the store as well as you, for example, low times or in the, evening.
  • You will need to liaise directly with the local supermarket of your choice.
  • Coeliac UK will provide you with all the information you’ll need to run a successful store tour including adverts, guides and evaluation forms.
  • A nominal fee to cover expenses will be provided.

If you are interested in taking part, or would like to find out more information, please email us @ storetours@coeliac.org.uk.

Many thanks!
