Today the Oxford Mail published an article reporting on the proposed removal of all gluten-freeWhen a food has less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten so it is safe for people with coeliac disease to eat. prescriptions in Oxfordshire, by the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire NHSNational Health Service cluster.

On 1 January 2012 the new law on gluten-free came into effect and this will change the way that the food you buy is labelled.

The Coeliac UK website will be temporarily offline from 6.00pm on 13/12/2011 for essential maintenance, however downtime is not expected to exceed 5 minutes.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Coeliac UK has been in ongoing communication with the South East Coast Alliance since they introduced a policy at the start of this year to restrict gluten-free food on prescription.  Here we update you with the latest information.

Morrisons is recalling their Duc D'Ardennes Pork and Apricot Pate. This product contains gluten which is not stated in the allergy advice box. If you have coeliac disease or are intolerant to gluten you should not eat this product.
