Lidl Ireland is recalling Harvest Basket Potato Croquettes from its stores in Northern Ireland because they contain wheat and egg which are not written in English on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg, wheat or gluten.
Coeliac disease diagnosis rises to 30% - but still missing half a million

Recent research shows diagnosis of the autoimmune disease, coeliac disease, which affects 1 in 100 people, has risen in the UK from 24% in 2011 to 30% in 2015.
Clayton Park Bakery recalls bakery products due to incorrect labelling

Clayton Park Bakery Ltd is recalling various bakery products because they contain undeclared barley which is not mentioned on the label. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease or an allergy to barley or gluten.
Department of Health consultation on gluten free prescribing regulations

Following on from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) consultation on the future of gluten free prescribing in England in 2017 and the decision to retain access to gluten free bread and flour mixes on prescription, announced earlier this year, the DHSC has now launched a consultation on the new regulations which will enforce this change in England.
