The NHS Sheffield CCG has made the decision to remove access to gluten free food on prescription for adults. This guidance will come into effect as of 1 December 2017.

This means the product is a possible health risk for individuals with coeliac disease and anyone with an intolerance to gluten.

Lidl is recalling four varieties of its Deluxe Drinking Chocolate Sticks as they contain various allergens which are not legible on the packaging as the ingredient are not written in English. This means the products are a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy to soya, an allergy or intolerance to milk or its constituents, an allergy to nuts or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Volunteer opportunities – Edinburgh office

Coeliac UK’s office in Edinburgh is currently recruiting for two volunteer roles to help take forward its diagnosis campaign and spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of coeliac disease. One role requires good organisational skills, the other requires PR/media experience.
