Supporting access to gluten free foods
During the current Covid-19 pandemic we have heard from many of you on our social media networks and in calls to our Helpline regarding access to gluten free food.
Throughout the pandemic we have been in contact with key stakeholders to bring you up to date and evidence based information that you can trust. As this is a fluid and fast moving situation, we will continue to monitor and keep you updated.
Asking for support from our networks
We know many of you have struggled to find gluten free foods during the pandemic. So we have been tirelessly lobbying our networks to ensure that gluten free food is available for those who need it.
We will continue our discussions with government departments and trade organisations to share any issues our community are facing finding food.

Talking to our food industry networks
We’re in regular contact with both Crossed Grain Trademark holders and GF Accredited partners to monitor any changes in availability of gluten free food in shops and venues. We will keep you updated with any significant developments on our website and social media.
Currently our GF Accreditation scheme only covers delivery or takeaway when it is delivered directly by the accredited food business, not via a third party delivery company. We are working with our contacts to make sure that safe practices are in place, but please take care and be aware of this when using third party delivery services.
Mobilising our volunteers
We are so lucky to be well supported with a network of dedicated volunteers who help those in need in their communities and across the UK. We are working with them to look after the most vulnerable so we can support those self isolating and in need of additional help, together.
