Homemade Chocolate Bark

Ingredients

  • 600g (21oz) chocolate of your choice*
  • A good few handfuls of dried cranberries (or any dried fruit of your choice)
  • A good few handfuls of whole almonds chopped roughly (or any chopped nuts of your choice)

Method

  1. Break up your chocolate into pieces and place in a heatproof bowl.If you are using a microwave, on a medium setting, microwave the chocolate for around 30 seconds. Or place your bowl over a pan of gently simmering water and leave to melt, stirring occasionally
  2. While the chocolate is melting, line a large baking sheet with greaseproof paper, pour over the melted chocolate and use a spatula to spread evenly
  3. While the chocolate is still soft, scatter over the cranberries and chopped almonds, as much as you like
  4. Place in the fridge to cool for a few hours
  5. Once cooled, roughly chop into shards and place in cellophane bags.Tie with ribbon and add a tag for a lovely homemade gift.
