Gluten Free Chocolate Cake

A gluten free chocolate cake from Panasonic, moist and rich, great for all occasions.

Ingredients

  • 200g gluten free self-raising flour*
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • ½ tsp gluten free baking powder*
  • 2 tbsp dark cocoa powder
  • 140g soft brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp syrup
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 150ml vegetable oil
  • 150ml milk 
  • 150ml double cream
  • 150g milk chocolate*

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C/ 300°F/ Gas Mark 6
  2. Put all ingredients in to a bowl, mix until they are blended together and divide between the two lined cake tins.
  3. Place in the preheated oven and cook for 35-40 minutes.
  4. Leave to cool.
  5. Whip the double cream and use it to sandwich the two cakes together.
  6. Melt the chocolate in a microwave on high for 1 minute and spread to decorate the top of the cake. Top with toppings of choice e.g. strawberries for Valentines or Mini Eggs for Easter.
