Kid's Burgers

Make the most of the summer with a barbecue and these tasty gluten free kids burgers.

Ingredients

For beef or lamb burgers:
  • 450g (16oz) lean minced beef or lamb
  • 30ml (2 tbsp) tomato ketchup*
  • 15ml (1 tbsp) sweet chilli sauce*
For pork and cheese burgers:
  • 450g (16oz) Lean minced pork
  • 50g (2oz) cheese (Red Leicester of Double Gloucester), cut into small cubes
For spicy beans:
  • Small can of baked beans*
  • Small can of red kidney beans
  • 15ml (1 tbsp) tomato puree or ketchup*
  • 5ml (1 tsp) sweet chilli sauce*
For sweetcorn mayonnaise:
  • 30ml (2 tbsp) mayonnaise*
  • 30ml (2 tbsp) canned sweetcorn and/or blanched baby sweetcorn
  • ½ small red pepper

Method

  1. For the burgers: Place the ingredients for your chosen burger into a large bowl and mix thoroughly
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 or 6 and shape into burgers
  3. Place on a hot preheated barbecue or under a preheated grill for around 4-6 minutes each side, until cooked thoroughly
  4. Serve in gluten free buns with spicy beans or sweetcorn mayonnaise
  5. For the spicy beans: Gently heat together all the ingredients.Serve a large pile with the burgers and buns
  6. For the sweetcorn mayonnaise: Deseed and finely chop ½ red pepper, mix together with the other ingredients and serve.
