Research Conference 2016

Our Research Conference 2016 was a two day event. The first day provided an update on research in coeliac disease and the second day focused on research which supports or directly underpins the Charity's strategic aims around diagnosis and management of the condition.

The winning poster abstract, ‘Does restriction of gluten free prescription foods affect people with coeliac disease?’ was submitted by Dr Matthew Kurien, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. Sam Martin, University of Warwick, won the prize for the highly commended abstract 'Visualising the self care of coeliac disease'.

Both conference days were approved by The Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 4 category 1 (external) CPD credits and supported by the Primary Care Society of Gastroenterology. The British Dietetic Association, Centre for Education and Development endorsed the educational content of the learning activity.
