A request for newsletter contributions

We hope you are well and have been able to enjoy the warmer weather that we have been treated to over the past week.

For the July newsletter to members, we would like to compile your stories from recent months.  Please send us your stories or tips on what recipes, suppliers or products you tried or discovered during lockdown.  How did you celebrate the end of lockdown?  Have you now visited local restaurants you can recommend to fellow members?  If you would like contribute any pictures for the newsletter, they would be very welcome!

Parents' virtual gathering - 21 June

After the success of our recent zoom call, we have scheduled our next virtual gathering for later this month. We would like to invite the parents in our group with coeliac children to the call on 21 June at 8pm. 

After a year with few (if any) school trips, birthday parties and eating out, we are conscious that as restrictions continue to be relaxed, many parents of coeliac children have an extra challenge to grapple with.  This call provides a chance for parents to get together and share their experiences and advice they have gathered along the way.  The call will be facilitated by two of our committee members with a range of experience between them.  Carol has grown up children, with many years of experience under her belt, and Gemma has a young child at primary school who was diagnosed before she started school.

If you would like to join us, please email us at northhampshire@coeliac.org.uk with the following details:

-        age of your coeliac children

-        any specific topics you would like to cover

-        if you would prefer to attend with parents of children of a similar age, or all ages

Depending on the responses, we shall consider whether to split the call into different age groups. Zoom details will be provided to those who register. We anticipate the call being between 1 to 1.5hrs, depending on the number of attendees/ age groups etc.

Please reply to confirm your place no later than Friday 18 June.
