Strawberry Jam

Jam doesn't have to mean added sugar and preservatives. Kick off the New Year with a healthier, homemade alternative - it's easier than you think! Made with just a few natural ingredients, your jam can be as clean and wholesome as your resolutions. Perfect on wholegrain toast, stirred into porridge or spooned over natural yogurt for a guilt - free treat.

Ingredients

  • 300g Strawberries
  • 200g sugar
  • 7g pectin

Method

  1. Prepare the fruit:
    Finely chop the strawberries or fruit of your choice
  2. Layer the ingredients:
    Place half of the chopped fruit into the bread pan. Sprinkle half of the sugar over the fruit. Repeat with the remaining fruit and sugar
  3. Add the pectin:
    Evenly sprinkle the pectin on top of the mixture in the bread pan.
  4. Start the jam program:
    Select Program 18 (Jam setting) on your bread maker and press Start.
  5. Cool and store:
    When the program finishes, carefully pour the hot jam into clean jars or containers. Let it cool at room temperature before sealing and refrigerating.
