Rebecca Adlington OBE, a former elite swimmer, is one of Great Britain’s most successful Olympians and a double Olympic gold medallist. She has won multiple Olympic, World, Commonwealth, and European medals and famously broke the 800m freestyle world record at just 19 during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

64 Challengers raise £5,000 in first week

Taking the number 64 as their inspiration, over 100 amazing individuals are fundraising their way to mark Coeliac Awareness Month. Between them all, their wide ranging 64 Challenges have raised a whopping £5,000 in the first week of May alone – and it’s not too late to join in!

New findings about the immune response in coeliac disease

Researchers at the University of Oxford have managed to examine how cells interact with each other in coeliac disease using funding from Coeliac UK. The findings provide a greater understanding of the immune response in the gut in coeliac disease, and have identified new potential targets for treatments.
