Coeliac UK runners raise nearly £17,000 at the London Marathon 2026

Eleven dedicated runners took on this year’s London Marathon in support of Coeliac UK, collectively raising an impressive £16,901 to help fund vital support and awareness for people living with coeliac disease.

The team demonstrated remarkable commitment in the lead-up to the event, balancing demanding training schedules with dedicated fundraising efforts to reach this fantastic total. On race day, their determination carried them across the finish line, creating a proud moment for both the runners and the charity. Among the team, Rachel Gynn who raised an incredible £3,461, while Dan Lewis followed closely with £2,713.

Also taking part in the event were two Coeliac UK staff members, Tristan and Hannah, who showed their support for their chosen charities. Their involvement reflects the wider spirit of the day, with thousands of runners coming together to raise funds for causes close to their hearts.

The funds raised by the Coeliac UK team will contribute towards the charity’s ongoing work to improve diagnosis, provide trusted information and campaign for better access to gluten free food.

If you would like to enter next year’s marathon, the ballot is open until 1 May. Once the ballot has closed, if you are lucky enough to secure a place and would like to run for Coeliac UK, we would love to hear from you.

We also have four charity places available, with an application process opening after the public ballot closes, more details to be released soon.
