Now Recruiting! We are looking for new Research Award Panel (RAP) members!

We are looking for new Research Award Panel (RAP) members. To ensure that we fund only the highest quality research, all research grant applications must go through a rigorous review process which consists of peer review, lay review and ultimately review and recommendation for funding by the RAP. The RAP reviews all of the research proposals that we receive for funding and considers both peer and lay feedback to make recommendations for funding.

At any time, the RAP needs to consist of experts across a variety of relevant disciplines as we can receive applications for funding within many different subject areas.

We are looking for new members who have a background in a relevant discipline such as medicine, immunology, gastroenterology, genetics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, neurology, autoimmune disease/s, nutrition, health economics, public health, food science and technology or plant science and who are still currently active or working in their respective field.

The Panel typically meets an average of twice per year, usually online, for 2-4 hours each time with some pre-reading. It is a voluntary role that is critical to our research funding process. More information can be found in the ‘Terms of Reference’ document.

The deadline for applications is 10:00am Friday 8 May 2026 and short interviews lasting around 10 minutes will take place via Teams on Friday 15 May 2026.
