In an earlier newsletter this year, we made you aware of an opportunity to participate in a Coeliac UK funded research project exploring ‘Patients’ and healthcare professionals’ perspectives on follow up in coeliac disease’.

In an earlier newsletter this year, we made you aware of an opportunity to participate in a Coeliac UK funded research project exploring ‘Patients’ and healthcare professionals’ perspectives on follow up in coeliac disease’.

Dr Manpreet Bains and her team have now completed all the patient interviews and written them up for analysis. Interviews were carried out with individuals:

attending annual follow up
not receiving any annual follow up; for some, this was a personal choice
recently diagnosed in the last year and not yet due an annual follow up
receiving annual follow up for another condition but not for their coeliac disease.

Interviews with healthcare professionals are still ongoing. The project is due to complete in early 2018 and we are looking forward to seeing the results.
