How do I add a new venue to my Scrapbook?

Tap on the location pin for the venue you want to add and it will take you to the details page for that venue. In the bottom left hand corner you will find a button ‘Add to Scrapbook’. You need to have access to the internet to do this.

I’ve scanned a product and it’s returned as suitable but some of the details are different eg product name or weight.

It may be that the manufacturer has changed the name and weight only very slightly and kept the same barcode. Barcodes should always change if the allergen status has changed. Check the ingredients list for gluten using our Label Guide or complete our webform so we can investigate.

Can I and another family member both download the app and use the same login details?

The app can be downloaded onto different devices and use the same login. It is up to the Member who they decide to share their login details with as these will be the same ones linked to their website account which will hold some personal details.

I can’t find the app in the stores?

Our app can only be found on in the Apple Store and Google Play Store. Search for the app by typing in ‘Coeliac UK’ and you should find it; alternatively you can browse through the Lifestyle Category on the stores to locate it.

The app crashes on my Android device, how can I fix it?

It has been brought to our attention that a few people are experiencing the app crashing on their Android phones, which run the Android operating system versions 2.3.3 - 2.3.7. This may be due to the operating system on these phones not being updated, so if you are experiencing this, we’d recommend updating your operating system.

How do I recommend a venue?

Click on the button that looks like a pin with a plus sign on it. You can submit details of your favourite places and we will get these added to our database.

I sent you details of a venue and it isn’t shown here?

We have a process to check with the venue about details of the submission and that they are happy to appear in our Venue Guide. That may take some time to complete.

How much is the app?

The app is free as part of your Membership package.

How will I know if something has been deleted from the Food and Drink Guide?

The status of a product will change if the product is no longer gluten-free. When you see the status as ‘Not suitable X’ you know this product is not suitable any more.
