Support for parents
When your child is diagnosed with coeliac disease it can be a relief to have an answer to their ill health, but a steep learning curve for you and your family as you learn about gluten free living.
Growing up with coeliac disease has its challenges and throughout each stage of life there will be new challenges to staying symptom free.
That’s where we can help.
If you have a child who has coeliac disease, or who may be at risk of having coeliac disease, we have lots of advice about how to manage their diet, as well advice on eating during their school years, at parties and when growing up.

The best support comes from people who understand. We can help you make safe food choices for your child and family more easily and connect with others just like you, because we know what it takes to live gluten free every day.
We help anyone needing to live gluten free, whether due to coeliac disease or another medical condition. From children to adults and those caring for someone living gluten free, our resources will help you every day, and on every occasion.
Parents or carers of children (under 16) with coeliac disease are welcome to join Coeliac UK on the child's behalf. If there is more than one person with coeliac disease living at the same address, you may wish to sign up for household membership. More information on our membership packages.

Member2Member programme
Our Member2Member programme provides support to parents and carers of children who’ve recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease. It puts longer standing parent and carer members in touch with parents and carers of newly diagnosed children who may be in need of support.
Parents are matched with other parents who have children of a similar age. It is a great service to ask questions from someone who has been in your shoes and knows what you’re going through.
