How we can support you

We are delighted to have your support and interest in research exploring coeliac disease and the gluten free diet.

Our aim is to support the small, but increasing number of researchers and research organisations who are developing greater interest in this area.

Together we can

  • Ensure people affected by coeliac disease and other gluten related immune conditions have the opportunity to have their say
  • Increase capacity for research within the UK
  • Encourage collaborations, nationally and internationally and across disciplines and diseases
  • Communicate and disseminate evidence

How we can support you

Our membership represents the single largest pool of people diagnosed with coeliac disease, in the world. Many of our members have indicated that they are interested in research and have consented for us to contact them about opportunities to get involved.

We have a selection of communication channels where we can share information about your research project and assist with networking:

  • website
  • enewsletters
  • social media networks
  • bespoke mailing
  • research network
  • annual research conference

Coeliac UK funded projects are automatically provided with this support, others are reviewed on an individual basis but must:

  • be supported by appropriately, qualified individuals, to be determined at the time of any request for support
  • come from an appropriate institution which has the necessary networks to support education, training, ethical standards and professional development

For help with patient and public involvement or recruitment, please contact us. For networking and dissemination of your research, consider attending our annual research conference or contact us with more information.

Undergraduate or postgraduate students

We have introduced our sponsored dissertation scheme just for you. We commit to supporting up to five students per year, including an award of £1000 per project. If you are a student this is your way to gain support, apply to our sponsored dissertation scheme.
