Gift aid Make your gift to Coeliac UK go further
Make your donations go further
Gift Aid is a simple, no cost way for you to increase your gift to Coeliac UK. If you pay tax in the UK, Coeliac UK can reclaim the basic tax rate of 25% on your gift. If you donate £100, it’s actually worth £125 to Coeliac UK.
Giving under Gift Aid means that much more money can be raised at no extra cost to you.
Gift Aid – the facts
Gift Aid rules require a Gift Aid Declaration to be completed. This is a statement by the individual confirming they are a UK tax payer and they want the charity to receive the tax paid on their donation back from the government.
This form provides us with the information required for us to be able to claim Gift Aid on a donation. The declaration usually allows us to claim a gift on all current, past (four years from when the declaration is received) and all future donations you may make until you tell us otherwise.
Gift Aid can only be claimed on individual and sponsorship donations you make to Coeliac UK. If you include an additional donation with your membership fee then it is only the donation amount we are able to claim Gift Aid on.
How to sign up to Gift Aid
To make things easy for you we’ve already included a Gift Aid Declaration as part of any donation payment process. You only need to complete a declaration once and we’ll continue to claim on all future donations you make until you tell us otherwise and as long as you are eligible.
If you’ve not completed a form before but have previously made donations and are eligible then we can send you a Gift Aid Declaration form to complete.
If you are holding a fundraising event, please use one of our sponsorship forms to collect the details of your sponsors in order for us to claim the gift aid.
