Advice for children and young people

We know that after a diagnosis of coeliac disease you might feel worried and confused. It seems like there are suddenly lots of foods that you can no longer eat and you have to make lots of changes in your life.

We’re here to support you through every step in your journey. Living with coeliac disease doesn’t have to be difficult and we can help you understand how to manage your gluten-free diet.

We can help you understand what coeliac disease is, the foods you can and can’t eat, eating out and how to manage at school or when visiting friends’ houses.

You can also read other young people’s stories about how they felt when they were diagnosed with coeliac disease and how their lives have changed, mostly for the better!

The most important thing to remember is you’re not on your own and there is a community of people in the same situation as you.
