Fruit rainbow kebabs

Dessert just got a lot more exciting – and healthy – with these quick, yummy kebabs.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 1 kiwi
  • 12-14 blackberries
  • 4 skewers or cocktail sticks
  • 2x125g pot of low-fat fruit yoghurt*, plain Greek yoghurt or fromage frais
Or another combination:
  • 8 strawberries, whole
  • 1 banana, chopped
  • 8 grapefruit chunks, canned
  • 1 apple
  • 2x 125g pot of low-fat fruit yoghurt*, plain Greek yoghurt or fromage frais

Method

  1. Wash the fruit. Peel the kiwi and chop the fruit into 2cm cubes but leave the blackberries and strawberries whole if preferred
  2. Thread the 5-6 pieces of fruit onto each skewer and arrange them decoratively on a serving platter. Spoon the yoghurt* or plain fromage frais into bowls.

Hints and tips:

Apples, pears and bananas will turn brown once chopped but adding lemon juice prevents this and keeps them looking fresh.
Please omit fromage frais or substitute with lactose free yoghurt to make it lactose free
