Behind the scenes of Live Well Gluten Free

Ever wondered how our member magazine is made? Take a look behind the scenes – and get a sneak preview of our Summer 2021 issue!

ConnieHow is the magazine created?

Led by Editor Connie, the magazine is written by staff from across our Membership, Fundraising, Evidence and Policy and Commercial teams.

They decide what’s going in each issue by pulling together upcoming news, events, and the latest issues affecting you.

Our team also examine Helpline trends and member feedback to develop content that’s tailored to meet our community’s needs – like information on what the latest coronavirus updates mean for you, and delicious gluten free recipes.

Where do we source our information and advice?

All the information and advice in Live Well Gluten Free is impartial and accurate. Our Evidence and Policy team and Helpline Dietitians ensure this by working closely with leading experts in health care, policy and research.

Sam and LouiseHow about our delicious gluten free recipes?

Editor Connie and Food Information Officer Sam brainstorm recipe ideas based on seasonal celebrations, events and trends.

These are then brought to life by our Home Economist, Louise, who develops our recipes and works with photographer James to create our mouth-watering images. Louise has been creating gluten free recipes for over 17 years and you can find more about her work in her Q&A blog here.

We try to make our recipes as accessible as possible, with a balance of ideas for different budgets, diets and lifestyles – and we always welcome new suggestions. You can send yours in via email to publications@coeliac.org.uk.
