The Department of Health and Social Care has made the decision to limit the type of product available on prescription to breads and flour mixes.

However, there is still a formal process to determine the final regulations which will set out which category of product will be available on prescription. We will be consulted as part of that process and will look to ensure the final regulations are adequate in enabling patients with coeliac disease, especially the most vulnerable, to adhere to the diet and manage their condition.
