Gluten Free and Vegan Braised Tofu Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 x White Rabbit Pizza Gluten Free Base (available on Ocado)
For the Tomato Sauce
  • 70g Tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin olive oil
  • a dash of hot water
For the Tofu:
  • 100g firm tofu (cut in small cubes)
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • a sprinkle of salt & Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Nutritional Yeast*
  • a dash of Gluten Free Soy Sauce*
  • olive oil
Toppings
  • Pesto*
  • Vegan Cheese*
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Rocket Leaves

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180-200 °C
  2. Prepare the tomato sauce by mixing all the ingredients 
  3. Spread the mixture on base
  4. Marinate the tofu with all ingredients for 5-10 minutes
  5. Heat a dash of olive oil in a pan and cook the tofu until it’s golden brown
  6. Spread the tofu, pesto & vegan cheese evenly on the base
  7. Cook for 15-18 minutes until the crust is crispy and the cheese has melted
  8. Finally, top the pizza with the tomatoes and rocket leaves and ENJOY!
